Samsung OLED TVs Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible — Samsung Electronics on Monday announced that its latest OLED televisions and select gaming monitors have received Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible certification, ensuring smoother gameplay when paired with Nvidia GeForce graphics cards.
The certification applies to Samsung’s entire 2026 OLED TV lineup as well as its next-generation Odyssey gaming monitors, strengthening the company’s focus on high-performance gaming displays.
Certified for Smooth Gaming Performance
According to Samsung, the certification confirms that its OLED TVs and monitors synchronize effectively with frame rates generated by Nvidia GeForce GPUs. This synchronization helps reduce common visual issues such as screen tearing and stuttering, delivering a more stable and fluid gaming experience.
“Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible certification verifies that our displays meet strict performance standards for smooth, tear-free gameplay,” Samsung said in its official release.
2026 Samsung OLED TV Models
Samsung stated that all OLED TVs launching in 2026 have earned the G-SYNC Compatible label. The certified models include:
- S85H OLED TV with refresh rates up to 120Hz
- S90H OLED TV supporting refresh rates up to 165Hz
- S95H OLED TV also reaching 165Hz
These televisions were unveiled earlier this year at CES 2026 and are designed to support high-quality console and PC gaming.
Odyssey Gaming Monitors Also Included
In addition to televisions, Samsung confirmed that two new Odyssey gaming monitors have also received Nvidia certification:
- Odyssey G6 (G60H) — a 27-inch QHD monitor capable of refresh rates up to 600Hz, with higher rates possible at lower resolutions
- Odyssey OLED G6 (G61SH) — a 27-inch QD-OLED display featuring 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and HDR10+ Gaming support
Samsung noted that another recently announced model, the Odyssey OLED G8, does not currently list G-SYNC Compatible support.
HDR10+ Advanced and AMD FreeSync Support
Samsung also highlighted that its 2026 OLED TV lineup includes HDR10+ Advanced, an upgraded high dynamic range format designed to improve brightness, contrast, motion handling, and color accuracy.
Alongside Nvidia compatibility, the TVs continue to support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, allowing smoother gameplay across different graphics platforms.
Samsung’s Focus on Gaming Displays
Commenting on the announcement, Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, said the company aims to deliver consistent gaming performance across devices.
“Our goal is simple: to deliver a consistently great gaming experience, no matter what you play or where you play it,” Lee said, adding that Samsung is focusing on power, precision, and immersion for gamers.
Industry Context
With gaming displays increasingly demanding higher refresh rates and adaptive sync technologies, Samsung’s latest certification aligns its OLED TVs and monitors more closely with PC gaming standards. Nvidia’s G-SYNC Compatible program requires displays to meet specific performance criteria, making the certification a key indicator for gamers seeking reliable VRR performance.
